- The Shins have finished recording their new album "Wincing the Night Away". The album is set for January 23 release through Sub Pop. I have this. I'm thinking of reviewing it in the next week or so. We'll see.

- The woman who broke up The Beatles, Yoko Ono, is suing Capital Records over underreported royalties. There's been quite a few lawsuits in the music industry lately and it's getting kind of old now.

- Speaking of suing, YouTube is being sued not by a large media corporation, but by.. a journalist by the name of Robert Tur. Hmm.

- LCD Soundsystem will record a 45-minute song for Nike. The song will accompany a workout. It'll only be available through iTunes.

- Pretty soon I'll be having a "Best Band You're Not Listening To" feature. In the mean time, check out Geert van der Velde's (ex Shai Hulud) new band, The Black Atlantic. It's some incredibly laid back music with an indie touch. I really can't explain it. Just check them out.

- My Chemical Romance's new single "Welcome to the Black Parade" has been played on radio this week a whopping 1755 times. Insane. I still wish the album was better though.

- November 21 is official No Music Day.

- Read a new interview with Matt Pryor (The New Amsterdams/ex Get up Kids) here.
